Colin Cutler is a Greensboro, North Carolina-based singer-songwriter, folk musician, teacher, poet, and storyteller toting a banjo and guitar. Whether solo or with his band, Hot Pepper Jam, he is a wide-ranging performer whose musical roots draw from the breadth of American folk music—from Appalachian oldtime to blues to gospel to country to rock’n’roll—to form what No Depression has described as “one magnificent tapestry of roots music.”.
While his first few albums were directly inspired by his background in oldtime music, his most recent effort was even more ambitious and electric. Tarwater was inspired by both life and the earthy characters of Georgia author Flannery O'Connor, achieving "...a juke joint energy coursing through it and a humidity that seems to sweat out the sins and the booze that these characters are often soaked in” (Paste). He is currently working on another acoustic folk project, tentatively titled Soul for a Penny.
The 2022 Winner of the Susquehanna Folk Festival’s Emerging Artists Competition, the last couple years have seen Cutler playing across the Southeast, with appearances at Merlefest, Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival, the North Carolina Folk Festival, Antlers and Acorns Songwriters Festival, and the Carolina Bible Camp Bluegrass Festival.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Tami'Qua has been singing since the age of 7, finding her voice in the heart of a city that pulses with rhythm and soul. Deeply influenced by the timeless power of Whitney Houston and the golden era of ’90s music, her sound is both nostalgic and fresh—bridging the best of the past with her own unique perspective.
Tami'Qua’s first spark of musical passion was lit at a Teddy Pendergrass concert, a special memory shared with her late father that would go on to shape her lifelong love for music. Music became more than just a passion—it became a lifeline and a coping mechanism, a way to express the unspoken and channel life’s highs and lows into something powerful.
With two short films under her belt—Focus and Sober Thought, both available on YouTube—Tami'Qua continues to tell her story through both sound and visual art. Her journey led her to study Audio Engineering, a decision she calls life-changing, giving her the tools to shape her sound with intention and purpose.
Raised by music-loving parents and driven by a deep emotional connection to her craft, Tami'Qua is more than an artist—she’s a storyteller, a vibe curator, and a voice for those who feel deeply.

Tracy Phillips settled on becoming a rockstar at an early age but was never happy starting a band up by myself. He set out to do everything on his own. From playing guitar, piano, singing, and later on adding saxophone, percussive sounds, and now even some synths into his songs. Occasionally writing experimentally, he typically leans toward the singer-songwriter genre with focuses on folk, rock, and pop.
Losing his father instilled an urgency in him he had never felt before. His writing reflects the emotional journey he's been on and the lessons he's learned along the way. Kicked out at 19, he had to figure out what he was doing wrong up until that point setting him on an emotional development path he had no choice but to accept. He had lived with partners that he loved and deeply, dealt with coming back home to a broken family, and continued challenging himself to understand who he was and what he was made for.
Eventually, he found God. He developed a purpose to communicate the emotions that he felt he had so strongly understood in the form of music. He found people were actually being touched by the musical posts he had been putting onto social media since he was 15, posts where he was covering and performing songs for his friends and family (and relationships) since he was a freshman in high school. He got off of his hiatus and have since been posting again with consistency. He ended up full-sending this passion and have been finding his sound since in an effort to begin my career in music with more effort, love, and desire than ever before.
Ally and the Wolf Slayers can best be described as two best friends who yearn for justice and seek to do right by those who have been wronged. Ally Young (Ally) and Josh Ballard (the Wolf Slayers) met by the grace of the cosmos in a capitalistic hellscape, with the pursuit of higher learning on both of their minds. Through mutual neurodivergent interests of music, social justice, and occasional acts of avengement, the two came together to join forces and tell their tale of heroism.
Ally and Josh use their near-telepathic abilities to create catchy tunes that tell stories based on true events. Think of those "based on a true story" films, but not as lame. After mild scheming, a crappy acoustic guitar, and some sacrificed potatoes, Ally and Josh concocted the greatest 2000s era sorta-punk, sorta-metal, sorta... country(?) song written this side of the Mississippi!
